Jewellery workshop with Shh by Sadie at Hub RWY Plymouth

Get creative with my first ever jewellery workshop at Hub RWY Plymouth! All details are below - hope to see you there!

£35 per person including a 2 hour workshop and welcome drink

A rewarding introduction for anyone keen to learn the craft, make your very own beaded necklace to take home with you, hosted by Plymouth-based jewellery designer, Sadie from Shh by Sadie.

Choose from hundreds of beads – semi precious stones, sequins, glass, Czech crystal, wooden, vintage, coral chips and more; design and hand make your necklace to take home with you!

Ticket price includes all materials required to create your necklace, including hands on step-by-step guidance from professionals, plus a welcome drink.

Pop Up Shop - Sustainable Fashion Week 2023 Plymouth Hub

As part of Sustainable Fashion Week’s Plymouth Hub I will be holding a Shh by Sadie Pop Up Shop at the Sustainable Fashion Market. I’ll be taking repaired, re-worked and reimagined jewellery pieces alongside some of my favourite vintage jewels from my Etsy shop.

The event is a free sustainable fashion market featuring a variety of sustainable designs and creations.

Vegan food and drink provided by the Hedgerow Hound will be available to purchase throughout the day.

Baby shower jewellery workshop in Wales!

I recently had the pleasure of teaching ten lovely ladies to make a bead necklace and bracelet at a baby shower at The Coffee Mill in Risca, Wales!

It was such a beautiful, sunny day and there were delicious afternoon treats served after the workshop - what a fabulous baby shower!

I had packed 100s of beads for the participants to choose from, including semi precious stones, glass pearls, glass crystals, sequins, seed beads, polymer clay beads and more.

I had a lot of fun teaching the workshop and I the participants seemed very happy with their results!

Bridal hen party jewellery workshop in Plymouth - Royal William Yard

I recently teamed up with haberdashery + workshop provider Make at 140 to teach a hen party workshop in Plymouth!

The bridal party wanted to make freshwater pearl and crystal bridal hair combs that they would wear on the big day. How exciting!

Well, I had never made a hair comb before, let alone taught somebody to make one! But when Lizzy from Make at 140 asked if I would be interested in teaching the workshop I was sure I could teach myself in time!

I started by Googling images of wedding hair accessories so that I could check what type of hair comb the bride would like, and then used YouTube to teach myself wire beading techniques. LOL. Honestly, I don’t use YouTube enough - there are so many useful tutorials on there, I’d recommend looking up WHATEVER you’re trying to learn and see what you can find next time!

On the day of the workshop we had a beautiful large workshop space at Ocean Studios in Royal William Yard, Plymouth. Lizzy had organised tea, coffee and fresh pastries for the group - and it was my lucky day because I got to snaffle the spare pastry! :p

The hen party all made a variation of the same style of hair comb, using a combination of grey and white freshwater pearls, glass crystals and silver wire.
